| Barbara is basically self-taught. She loves nature and history, and this is reflected in her work. Combining the painting techniques of faux finishes and folk art, she transforms simple furnishings into family heirlooms. This unique painting style gives the appearance of granite stone and also adds texture to the murals which encompass each piece. She designs and completely hand-paints each item using acrylics and a professional finish. Barbara is originally from southern New Hampshire, but until recently spent many years in Downeast Maine. She now lives in Dexter and owns and operates Pinestone Cottage, where she turns simple home furnishings into functional works of art. |
