| My Story |
| I got my first taste of woodturning in high school. Now at sixty four, I find that I more time to spend doing what I love doing. A native of Aroostook County, we relocated to Thomaston in 1979. Most of my work consists of cutting segments of wood at exact angles and glueing them together, then turning them on the lathe. The three lethes that I have I made from discarded steel off the scrap pile at the shipyard where I worked for 28 years. A lot of the wood I use was destined to be thrown away. I get a great deal of satisfaction from making an object from something that someone else thought was useless. |
