James O'Reilly - The Penobscot House My Story Born in upstate New York, Jim attended college in Washington D.C. and Albany, N.Y. receiving a B.A. degree in philosophy and a M.S. degree in counseling psychology. Most of his working career was spent in psychiatric hospitals in the area of rehabilitation. Respite from this challenging work was found in frequent visits to Maine for almost three decades. finally, in 1996, he and his wife Susan moved to the home of their dreams in Lincolnville Beach, Maine. A self taught artist and photographer, he has painted his coastal scenes from as far north as Luneburg, Nova Scotia to as far south as St. Augustine, Florida.
