Larry Sawyer, age 73 retired in 1998 after 28 years in the carpenters union, and 34 years with one construction company. Larry started making toys 20 years ago for his children and then grandchildren. He started selling his pieces since he has retired, and now does it full time for the past 3 years.

He lived in Frankfort and Winterport, Maine for the past 35 years. For the past 15 years he and his wife live in a home they built together in Winterport.

Larry enjoys making toys out of pine and keepsakes of trucks, boats, and planes out of hardwood like birch and cherry.
