Lupine Cottage Artisan Ann Kennedy, Phann’s Hue-ge Hats
Meet Lupine Artisan, Ann Kennedy, Phann's Hue-ge Hats
Ann Kennedy is a retired school librarian living in Belfast, Maine. After never finding hats that looked good on her, she started making them. Soon she was making them for friends, family members and strangers who stopped her on the street.
She named her company Phann, a combination of her name and the name of her grandfather Phillip, who made hats on the lower east side of NYC in the early 1900s. His memory inspires her to do the same here.
Hygge (pronounced hue-ge) is a Danish term that means a feeling of being cozy, warm and special. And, there is nothing that feels more cozy than a soft, warm hat on a cold winter day - except knitting or crocheting one. Ann crochets these hats all though the cold Maine winter with love and care, and with particular attention to the hue. We hope you will enjoy yours.
