Lupine Cottage Artisan Elaine St. Louis

Meet Lupine Artisan, Elaine St. Louis

My name is Elaine St. Louis and I started making quilts over 10 years ago when my aunt invited me to take a quilt class with her, and to prepare for the class she took me shop hopping, that’s how I fell in love with the entire quilt making process.  So now when I’m not working as a medical support specialist for the state of Maine you can find me at my happy place, the lovely sewing studio that my husband built for me at our home located on the Penobscot river in Argyle Maine.

Every morning I am blessed with seeing Maine’s beauty as the sun rises over the river, that’s what inspired the name Sunrisedeck Quilts.

I make my quilts from start to finish, and make them in hopes that the recipient will love and use them. I’ve made several quilts for my grandchildren who not only have them on their beds, but have dragged them on the floor, cuddle up with the dog, and taking them on picnics at the beach. I can also quilt your quilt top on my Innova auto pilot Mach 3 Long arm, offering many edge to edge quilt patterns. I’ve also worked on custom quilts, and do charity quilting for project Linus.
