Kathie Bradeen
Meet Lupine Artist Kathie Bradeen
After retiring from teaching in the fall of 2020, Kathie Bradeen started using her crafting skills to print Maine-themed designs on toddler and babywear. She wanted an alternative to the ubiquitous “touristy” designs printed on low-quality clothing, to give as gifts to the babies and toddlers in her life. Frustrated by the lack of options she was finding, she saw a need in the marketplace and Little Mainer was born!
In three short years, Kathie has successfully grown her business. Little Mainer can be found in seventeen gift shops across the state (more to come in 2024), online through Downeast Magazine Shop, Etsy, and directly through her website. She prides herself in using reputable companies that practice fair trade, sweat-free, and environment-friendly practices. Kathie personally creates each item with simple, subtle, and sophisticated designs - elevating its quality and showcasing her love for our treasured state. She remains a one-woman show. She currently lives in Southern Maine with her husband, Mark, and two cats, Ruby and Lulu. Her two adult children, Ellie and Will, live close by.
