Area Information

Belfast’s striking beauty lies along its coastline, where you’ll play and relax during your vacation. Exciting activities include hiking, kayaking, rowing, biking and sail boat rides.

Venturing into Belfast’s heart leads to farmers markets, antique stores, flea markets, art galleries, theaters and so much more.

Fine dining is easy to find, from freshly caught lobster and fresh produce to Maine’s best ice cream. Local beers and wines are also par for the course in Belfast.

You’ll find charming shops that have been run by the same families since the 1800s, old fashioned $5 movie theaters, restored Victorian mansions, and Belfast’s old-time Main Street.

If on your vacation you decide to explore around the Belfast area, you’ll find the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport, the Fort Point Lighthouse in Stockton Springs, and Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge in Prospect.
